The intermediate part between the solar panels and the accumulators within a solar system is the Solar Charge Regulator.
Charging the battery with energy from a solar panel is done with the help of the charge regulator, which has several roles:
-
- Short circuit protection
- Polarity reversal protection
- Stops charging when the battery is 100% charged, stops consumers when the battery is discharged
- Extends battery life
- Lighting function, automatically turns on the lighting when it gets dark outside.
- Programmable time function for lighting, programming between 1-15 hours
- Switch function, simple On-Off mode of operation
- Do not let the current flow in the opposite direction during the night, from the battery to the panels.
- Temperature sensor
