DESCRIPTION

The MC111CS is a media converter that facilitates data transfer between a UTP100Base-TX copper cable network and a 100BASE-FX fiber optic network, or vice versa.

Utilizing WDM technology, which allows data to be transmitted and received over a single optical fiber, this device cuts cabling costs in half. Compliant with IEEE 802.3u standards for 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX, the MC111CS is optimized for use with single-mode optical fibers with SC-type connectors.

It supports long wavelengths (LX) for data transmission at 1550nm and reception at 1310nm, requiring the complementary device at the opposite end to operate in reverse. The MC111CS can work independently or in a dedicated chassis for 19-inch TP-LINK media converters, providing functions such as MDI/MDI-X auto-detection and auto-negotiation of the duplex mode for the TX port. Integrated LEDs provide visual information about the operating status.
