H.264

H.264 or AVC (Advanced Video Coding), is a video codec standard that stands out for its high compression rate. An H.264 encoder can, without compromising image quality, reduce the size of a digital video file by more than 80% compared to the Motion JPEG format and by 50% more than the MPEG-4 standard. This means that the bandwidth becomes more spacious, and the storage space is significantly reduced. It is expected that in the coming years, H.264 will become the main video compression standard.

How does DDNS work?

If you want to access a CCTV camera or a hosting server but the IP addresses assigned to them are not static, then the DDNS service is the solution.

Most internet providers do not offer static IP, but to access the video monitoring equipment without changing the IP address each time, the DDNS service will be configured. Similar to a DNS server, it creates a database that contains the relationships between domains and numerical addresses, the update being done at predetermined time intervals or automatically when the IP address changes. Thanks to this facility, your DVR/NVR or cameras will be available at the known domain, regardless of its IP.
